MS. EULOINE G. TRAPP MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
TO BE AWARDED TO A DESERVING
STUDENT AND PARTICIPANT IN THE PEMBROKE AND AREA ANNUAL
FIDDLING AND STEP-DANCING CONTEST

OUR MISSION STATEMENT:
INSPIRED BY OUR RICH HERITAGE OF TRADITIONAL FIDDLING
AND STEP-DANCING, WE ARE COMMITTED TO THE FOSTERING,
SUPPORTING AND NURTURING OF ANY CONCEPT THAT WILL
PROMOTE AND SAFEGUARD THIS CULTURAL AND HISTORICAL
PHENOMENON FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.
Up to $2,000 total in
Scholarships will be awarded during the 2018 Contest in
memory of Ms. Euloine G. Trapp, a generous Benefactor
who was a life-long fan of music and traditional
fiddling. Ms. Trapp was born in Pembroke and returned to
her beloved Ottawa Valley after a career in teaching at
the elementary level in various centres throughout the
Province of Ontario, that is – Timmins, Toronto, London
and Perth. An accomplished piano player, her love of
children fostered a natural attraction and interest to
the Pembroke Fiddling Contest, especially in the
performances of the young participants.
APPLICANTS:
Must have finished a high school program and have been
accepted in the first year of a postsecondary
institution for the 2018 fall term, and must be a
participant in the 2018 Contest.
