Closing Email From Garnet

 

Well.....we did it, and it turned out GREAT......

 

We sold out of cookbooks and we ended up putting in another order for t-shirts. The food went very well, but if we ever do this again and follow a similar style, we'll have to do up a couple more Turkeys and more Pork...as we ran out on this one.

 

SO thanks to all u guy and gals that came out and made it a success and a very special thanks to Ellen and Dianne.

 

And to all u guys and gals that came out Sunday morning...another big thank you. The clean up and pack up was all done and we were on our way by 11 am.......and we served up another big breakfast to boot.

 

Everybody pitched in all weekend and the cooking and clean up was a snap.

 

It was kind of neat the few days prior to the event. When we went for some last minute shopping in Deep River, everybody we met on the street and in the shops knew about and commented on the reunion. Small towns and secrets eh!!

 

If any of you have photos from the reunion...or any other for that matter...that you wish to share, send them in by email and we'll see what we can do to archive them. We had some queries about keeping the website going and even adding pictures in the future, you know...new family additions etc, that you wish to share, so Dianne is looking into the idea. If you do e-mail us any pictures, be sure and specify if you want them posted on the website or not.

 

I made a video over the weekend, which turned out to be about 35 min long. It ain't gonna win any awards (not that there was anything wrong with the subject matter of course). When i get it processed into a DVD, ill spread a few copies around, for any that want it.
