Easter Egg Decorating Ideas

(Note we suggest that you hard boil eggs for young children, since they are easier for them to handle, but won't last as long.  Otherwise, poke small hole at each end of the egg and blow egg yolk and white out.)

Paint Easter Eggs

  1. Hard boil eggs so that they are easy to work with. Cool
  2. Place food colouring small plastic cups and mix colours to create the colours you want
  3. Place eggs in egg cup
  4. Paint eggs with food colouring using small paint brush

     

Dip Easter Eggs

  1. Hard boil eggs so that they are easy to work with.
  2. Place food colouring in large plastic containers (large enough to hold an egg) and dilute with water
  3. Cover eggs partially with crayon, elastic bands, or masking tape
  4. Dip eggs in food colouring bath for a few minutes
  5. Remove from bath and let dry
  6. (repeat with different coverings and colours as you like)

Easter Egg Rolling Ideas for one of our friends

  1. Hard boil eggs
  2. Let eggs cool
  3. Rub glue  on the egg
  4. Roll eggs in glitter or confetti to cover
  5. Let dry and you have your shiny or colorful eggs.

Easter Bunny Egg Heads

  1. Hard boil eggs and let cool
  2. Sit egg on top of old toilet paper roll
  3. Paint/Draw Face on Head
  4. Add Felt Ears
  5. Decorate the body (Paper roll) as desired
