Christian Education Committee

  
The Christian Education Committee is responsible for the aspects of Christian education outside of the Worship service. The main components are the Men's Breakfast, the Kids' Church, the Kerygma Program and the association with Camp Lau-Ren. The 09:00h Rise 'n Shine and the youth group have taken a hiatus.
The Men's' Breakfast is once per month starting with an opening reading, breakfast, speaker and discussion.
The Kids' Church occurs downstairs after Children's Time near the start of the Worship service, except during the summer when baby sitting is available.
The Kerygma Program is a study of some aspect of the Bible once per week over several weeks. The study of Acts is nearing its completion.
Deep River Community Church sponsors the Junior Co-Ed camp at Camp Lau-Ren. In 2006, the theme was "Can You Dig It" and the campers had an opportunity to uncover ancient civilization and explore our far distant past while having fun.
