Valentine Container 

(Note: Can be altered to create a container for any time of year by selecting different colours and shapes)

Material

• Red Felt
• White Felt
• 2 - White Lace 1/2" wide 12" long
• White Ribbon Fine
• Recycled/cleaned Can 3" across by 1 1/2" high (canned salmon/tuna)
• White Glue/Glue Gun

Instructions (note sizes may vary depending on the can you are decorating, please measure)

• Cut a strip of red felt roughly 1 1/2" wide x 12" long by  to wrap around the outside side of can
• Cut a strip of red felt roughly 1 1/2" wide x 11" long by  to wrap around the inside side of can
• Cut a circle of red felt roughly 3" across for the inside bottom of the can
• Glue Red Felt into place
• Glue White Ribbon around middle of the outside side of Can
• Glue White Ribbon around middle of the inside side of Can
• Cut 5 - 1 1/2" high Heart Shapes from white felt
• Cut 5 - 1" high Heart Shapes from white felt
• Glue 5 White Felt Hearts around outside of can
• Glue 5 Red Felt Hearts on top of the White Hearts
• Tie 5 small bows from fine Ribbon
• Glue Bows on the white lace, between hearts
