Shay just wanted me to let you know that me his Nana Qua shoed him how to make a bird puppet out of felt, 2 pipe cleaners, 2 ;arge eyes, a few colored feathers and he loved the blue and red feathers the best so he used them, also a glue that will held felt together. I used a Hot glue gun. Therfore I did the gluing for him after he would tell me where they should go. I had told him where things had to go ahead of time, but some things he could choose himself. When he had it finished he loved it and even had to name it and take it to bed with him so that his bird wouldn't get lonely he said. He also wanted me to tell you that I use to teach crafts to K-12 and adults. I could try to give you the bird puppet pattern, but don't know how to give you a picture ect. of it. You see I am a new P.C. user. I got it for myself and to teach my grandson how to use one. Thanks again for your site. P.S. the lady that wrote in about your site and wasn't very nice about it, let her know you are doing your best and a lot of us love it and if she doesn't like it, then don't use it if that's the way she feels. If you can't say something nice about someone, then don't say anything at all, Love Nana Qua

My Grandson and I Love your projects and we have one that we would like to share with you and others who take advantage of Sugar Bush. He ask me one day if we could make our own stickers on the P.C. I told him we certainly can and we don't have to use the P.C. You can make them either way. Getting pictures from the P.C. maybe even a family picture ect. or from newspapers, magazines ect. You just have to Mix well One part White Vinager and Two parts white glue. I like to use Elmers White Glue. Mix it really good. Apply it with you finger or an old credit card on the back of your picture, let it dry. The drying time doesn't take long. 15 to 30 minutes depending how thick you apply it and the weather.Let it dry face down. He enjoys his stickers even more now. And says it's amazing how it really works. He is only 5 years old and loves to do crafts. He doesn't know it but he is learning memory, numbers, colors, counting ect. while doing these crafts. Tip: Use your old bottle of white glue if it's 2/3 s full and just add the white vinager. Thank you again for all your wonderful crafts ect.

My Grandson and I love you projects and we would like to share one with you. My grandson ask if we could make stickers using my P.C. I told him of course we can and you can even make them without a P.C. using pictures you cut out of magazines, papers, ect. All you have to do after getting you subject ready is to make your own sticker glue. One part white vinager and two parts white glue mix well. (I prefer using Elmers White Glue.) Put in all over your picture (you can do this by using your finger or an old credit card) then let it dry face down. Once it is dry you then can just lick it and stick it. He just loves making his own stickers now and he can pick the picture that he wants and is amazed as he says it that you can make your own sticker glue and it works!

HI!!!!!!!!!!! my name is brooke and i work at a day camp as a camp counselor. I am writing to you to let you know about a game we recently played that was a big hit. It's called snowball. You crumble up alot of white paper and divide children into two teams. then you build some kind of fort (we used tables). Then the children throw the "snowballs" at eachother. If you get hit you sit in the middle between the teams and throw the balls that land in front of you over the table to your team.

I also wanted to ask you if you have any ideas for a craft having to do with planes, trains, or autos. That is our theme for next week and we are having a problem coming up with a craft. Our children range from 6-12 and we need as many craft ideas as you can give us.

I really appreciate it and love your site!!!!!!!!!!!! keep up the good work!!!!!!!!

brooke

Loved your site!!!! I stay at home with my daughter and love for her and her friends to do crafts in the summer. I just printed the paper mache and will try that one today! Great to see projects that family can do together. I also like to do crafts for her class (2nd grade this year) so would love projects where kids have to work together on them...we did a quilt in kindergarten where the kids drew a picture (we decided on animals) and I took it home and traced it onto muslin then let the kids paint them with craft paint mixed with textile medium. They did 2 sets of the same picture (1 for a quilt square and 1 for a pillow that they sewed the top to and took home for mom to put a backing on so they could keep it). I put the quilt together over the next summer and the kids got to present it to her the beginning of the next school year. It was amazing how creative the kids could be. Anyway....enough of my rambling. I can't tell you enough how I appreciate your site and will visit often. thanks!!! Mary

I was just looking for a recipe for paper mache and you were the first on the list and I love your web site. I am always making things by my self and with the kids. We just got done painting the basement bathroom floor. My children (4,3 and 2) choose the beach for the theme. So, I was working on a very small budget and painted the concrete walls a Dr. Seusus water scene. On the floor I had the children walk across the floor with black paint on their feet and gave it that whole final look. We had so much fun. Next we are going to make paper mache fish for the shelves in the bathroom. After that we are going to paint the other concrete walls in the basement with cartoon people. The Children will be traced and left to color the people in. It gives it a very absract look and the kids have a great time helping out with the decorating. Thanks for your time and having a great website. Grace

Tired of hundreds of tiny crayons that you find every place...put them in an old muffin tin and heat in the oven at about 200 C for a few minutes (max 10 min), to make wonderful multi-colored crayons. One of the most exciting things that I have done with my kids is marble painting. I simply put a blank piece of paper into a shoe box with three blobs of paint and seven marbles and let the kids go to work shaking the box until the paper is covered with beutiful colors. It's a lot of fun and tames even my most rambuntios child. By the way your web site is great, my husband also makes webpages and can add music into a page, if your interested.

just a tip for your macaroni colouring.use rubbing alcohol instead of water. it dries instantly and the macaroni doesn't get soggy. i use paste food colour from wilton (available at micheal's i think in on. and crafts canada in bc and alta) the clours are intense and there is a huge variety, including balck and christmas red.
