One year Santas elves
were not working at all. When Santa came in to check on
them they still were not working. Santa asked the head
elf why they were not working? The head elf said "We
are not working because we are not happy." Santa
asked the head elf why they were not happy. The elf told
him that they were not happy being elves because every
day they had to make toys and when the toys that they
made were gone, they had to make more. Santa didnt
know what the problem was being an elf? So he asked Mrs.
Claus. Mrs. Claus said " maybe they feel that you
are giving them too much to work on".
"Thats the most ridiculous thing I ever heard
of in my whole life" said Santa Claus. Santa went to
his room and thought if his wife was right he also
thought about all the kids getting ready for Christmas.
And they were so good this year too. Santa thought about
all the disappointed children. Santa went to the elves'
workshops and said "Elves will now have breaks for
snacks and a nap." Mrs. Claus and the elves were
happy from that Christmas on.
