2010 EVENTS

Annual FUN Day:

July at the School House Museum, 12 noon to 4 PM, “Fun Day” is old fashioned, volunteer-run fun, in the buildings and under the tall pines of our beautiful grounds. There are races and games for the children, demonstrations, barbecue, baking contest, and auction, and “The Cow Paddy Bingo”. “Cow Horn” delicacies similar to Beaver Tails are sold at the kitchen window. There is something for all ages. All Museum buildings are open for browsing and should “Bessie” favor your ticket you could win $400.00 in the the Cow Paddy Contest.

The School House Museum is located just 15 minutes West of Deep River on Hwy 17 at Meilleurs Bay.

Annual Lumberjack Supper: (Held in Chalk River Lions Hall) - tentative

An authentic Lumber camp Supper is served by volunteers. Following the meal the diners are entertained by local singers, fiddle players and step dancers of all ages.

July and August – Friday thru Tuesday .
