Who are We?
The main focus of our work is counseling, crisis intervention and
support. Information and referral, advocacy, education and community
representation are important areas of our work.
- Each year over 250
individuals and families received services in our counseling and
group programs. Over 200 individuals are provided with advocacy,
information and short-term help.
- Our services are available to all residents of North Renfrew
from Chalk River to Deux Rivières. We respond to a wide range of
individual and family needs and circumstances. We provide help to
anyone who asks for it, without regard to religion, age, gender,
sexual orientation, culture, ethnicity, marital or economic status.
- We are a non-profit, community-based agency providing confidential
counseling, advocacy, education and support for individuals and
families since 1968. • A volunteer Board of Directors, comprised of
community members, governs us.
- We are a member of Family Services Ontario (comprised of 45
member agencies throughout the province). They work towards
understanding the changing needs of individuals, couples and
families in society and provide research and innovative programs
with the goal of enhancing, restoring and sustaining family,
individual and community living.
