| Advertising Opportunity | The Deep River Recreation Department provides businesses the opportunity to advertise at the Deep River Arena and Grouse Park. A 4' x 8' advertising space can be rented at these high traffic locations for excellent rates. A perfect chance to generate exposure. You can now advertise on the arena boards. | Deep River Arena | This year-round facility includes programs such as; ice and ball hockey, figure and family skating, and in-line skating. A banquet hall with kitchen is available for public rental for dances, banquets and meetings. In the summer months the slab is a great place to hold large events such as concerts and commercial events. A snack bar is made available on the main floor. Call the Recreation Department for a schedule of events. Call 584-2000 ext 103 or 584-4137 for details. |
| Community Centre | The Deep River Community Centre provides facilities for several clubs. The Centre holds a bowling alley, rifle range and Whistle Shop. Schedules are available by calling 584-2800. |
| Community Pool | The Deep River Community Pool is an adjoining wing of Mackenzie High School. It is 25 metres long and 13.5 metres wide (six racing lanes). The spectator bleachers accommodate up to 200 people. A sauna is also available. In addition there is an upstairs viewing gallery and medium sized meeting room appropriate for ballet and socials. The annual Pool shutdown will take place during a 3 week period in August. Call 584-2000 ext 103 or 584-2112 for details. |
| Curling & Squash Club | The facility consists of four sheets of ice, two International squash courts with viewing area, changing rooms and a lounge that accommodates 170 people for social functions. Call 584-2882 for details. |
| Golf Club House | The clubhouse includes a pro shop, change rooms, restaurant and lounge that is great for social gatherings. Call 584-3991 for details. |
| Hill House | At the present time the Hill House building is utilized by the Woodworking Club. |
| Deep River Royal Canadian Legion Br. 436 | This is an organization for the promotion of community activities and assists with the welfare of its members. Most of the members are former Armed Forces personnel. The Legion social hall is available to the public for rent. Call 584-4066 for details. |
| Upper Ottawa Valley Rugby Club | Rugby Club open to all. No experience needed. We have both a women's and men's team playing in the Eastern Ontario Rugby League. If you're 16 and over come and join us to play some rugby. Indoor practices will start in February with the season beginnin in May. Referees, coaches, and rugby enthusiast are all welcomed to contact us. Hope to see you in great numbers for this year summer rugby season. |
| W.B. Lewis Public Library | The Deep River Library has a collection of approximately 35,000 titles including print resources, 1400 music titles, and a large section of magazine and movie selections. A public access CD-ROM is available, and there is a story time for pre-schoolers. A library card is free to residents of Deep River and area.
